Bridgewrights are trained to listen to stone as carefully as others listen to prophecy. They inspect arches, map hidden channels, repair dangerous cracks, and keep records of changes to the foundations.
Their service is both craft and public duty. An unnoticed fault can isolate a town; a deliberate act of damage can threaten entire kingdoms.
